For orbital welding and longer cups
It consists of a hydraulic system (mini hydraulic power unit) and a hydraulically activated gun on which the expanding tool with its mandrel is mounted. The tip is pushed into the working position to expand the tool, which is pushed into the working position by a hydraulic valve.
After the mandrel has been opened, the entire unit is retracted to obtain the desired bell length. This length can be adjusted from 10 mm to 25 mm by positioning the tube support sleeve.
This system is particularly suitable for those who use the orbital welding system, as the bell obtained will be perfectly cylindrical and will not cause welding problems with the electrodes of the orbital welding system.
Compared to a classic bell former, it also allows longer bells to be made.
The equipment of the unit in question will be designed specifically for the dimensions of the tubes to be processed.
